WACO, Texas -- Baylor football has elevated Jeff Grigus to Chief of Staff, Landrie Walsh has been promoted to Director of Football Operations and former LSU standout Ed Paris has been hired as an assistant director of player personnel, it was announced on Wednesday.

Grigus earns his third promotion in his three year at Baylor, moving from his initial position as Director of Football Operations, to the Assistant AD for Football Operations and now to the Chief of Staff role for Coach Dave Aranda’s program. He will manage all of the Baylor football staff and coordinate on and off the field aspects of the program. Grigus joined the Bears before the 2022 Sugar Bowl, which followed two seasons as the Director of Football Operations at LSU.

Walsh is in her second stint at Baylor, serving in a triumvirate of roles during her time in Waco. She started at Baylor as the Director of On-Campus Recruiting from 2020-21 at Baylor and returned to Baylor in 2023 as the Associate Director of Football Operations under Grigus. Walsh spent time in recruiting at her alma mater, Texas A&M, serving as the On-Campus Recruiting Coordinator in 2019 and as the Director of Recruiting in 2022 for the Aggies. Walsh will be one of eight female director of football operations in the nation and one of five in the role in power-4 football.

Paris, a former safety for Aranda at LSU, will join the player personnel department in Waco. He played at safety and cornerback for the Tigers, playing in 52 games over his career. He will work under Keava Soil-Cormier, Baylor’s Associate AD for Player Personnel, in a department that includes Anthony Clavo Jr. and Aaron Appleberry.

The Bears continue spring football practice through the Green & Gold Game, set for April 20 at 12 p.m. at McLane Stadium, live on ESPN+.
