WACO, Texas -- Baylor football will be represented by offensive lineman Connor Galvin and defensive lineman Siaki Ika at the 2023 NFL Combine, slated for Feb. 28 – March 6.



Galvin and Ika were two of 319 prospects invited to the NFL Combine, which will be held in Indianapolis, Ind., at Lucas Oil Stadium.



Ika, a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, is coming off a 2022 season that saw him earn third-team All-America honors from Phil Steele, and first-team All-Big 12 accolades from the Coaches and Associated Press. A finalist for the Polynesian Player of the Year Award, Ika played in 12 games with 11 starts at nose tackle. He had 24 tackles, including two for a loss, with five QB hurries and two pass break-ups. Ika’s first season with Baylor after transferring from LSU, saw him earn 2021 Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year honors, while totaling four sacks and six tackles for a loss, helping spur the Bears to the Big 12 and Sugar Bowl Championship.



A product of Katy, Texas, Galvin ended his Baylor career as the school record holder for career starts (50), while playing in 58 career games. He earned first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2022 from the Associated Press, Pro Football Network and Phil Steele. In rating from Pro Football Focus in 2022, Galvin was ranked as the second-best tackle in the league. Galvin was named the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2021.



A total of 22 Baylor greats were on NFL rosters or practice squads in 2022 and six Bears were nabbed in the 2022 NFL Draft, including second-round selections Jalen Pitre and Tyquan Thornton. The Bears had four players picked in the first three rounds a year ago, including third-round selections in JT Woods and Terrel Bernard.
