WACO, Texas – On a night when Monaray Baldwin and Josh Cameron both set career highs in catches, it wasn't enough for the Baylor Bears to keep pace with No. 19 Kansas State, which used 17 unanswered points in the second quarter to roll to a 31-3 win Saturday night at McLane Stadium.

While the Wildcats (7-3, 5-2) moved a step closer to a berth in the Big 12 Championship game, the Bears (6-4, 4-3) had a three-game winning streak snapped and lost for the second time at home after winning nine in a row and 10 of their last 11 at McLane.

Blake Shapen threw for 203 yards, completing 22-of-38 passes, but was picked off twice. Baldwin finished with a career-high eight catches for 75 yards, while Cameron had career highs for catches (six) and yards (83).

Will Howard, who came in when starter Adrian Martinez went down with an injury late in the first quarter, completed 18-of-26 for 186 yards and three touchdowns. Deuce Vaughn had 104 yards on 24 carries and added eight catches for 50 yards and one TD.

After the defense stopped K-State on downs, the Bears (6-4, 4-3) had a chance to strike first with a 44-yard drive to the Wildcats' 17. But, K-State cornerback Kobe Savage intercepted a Shapen pass that was deflected by receiver Josh Cameron.

The Bears' only score came at the end of the first half when John Mayers booted a 37-yard field goal that cut the deficit to 17-3. Mayers is now 7-for-7 for the season and is the career field goal percentage leader.

Baylor returns to McLane Stadium to host fourth-ranked TCU (9-0, 6-0), which led Texas 10-3 in the fourth quarter. Kickoff time and television have not been set for the game next Saturday, Nov. 19.
