</b>Fresh off another NCAA Championship appearance, Baylor women’s golf announced the signing of Illinois transfer Yurang Li on Thursday.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: black; background-color: white;">A native of Fullerton, Calif., she played two seasons in Champaign, carding 51

 rounds across 17 tournaments over the last two seasons. Bringing in a couple of impact transfers over the last few seasons in Sera Hasegawa and Bridget Boczar, head coach Jay Goble feels like Li can have a similar impact on his team.</span></p>

 "We expect to get to La Costa every year and as a Southern California native, Yurang is here to go back home and help us hopefully raise a championship trophy next year."</span></p>

 with a stroke average of 73.64 across 33 rounds. Her sophomore season was highlighted by a career-best tie for ninth at the Boilermaker Spring Classic last month, helping the Illini claim the team title by a shot.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: black; background-color: white;">Last summer, she claimed the 110<sup>th</sup> Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship.

 Entering the final round in third place, she used a final-round 69 to overtake Momo Sugiyama and Ashley Zozlowski to win by a shot at Royal Colwood Golf Club in Victoria, British Columbia.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: black; background-color: white;">As a freshman at Illinois, Li played the final six events of the season, notching

 a stroke average of 74.11, highlighted by a tie for 22<sup>nd</sup> at the Chevron Collegiate at the Golf Club of Houston.</span></p>

 at Sunny Hills High School in California. A three-time team MVP for the Lancers, she captured individual medalist honors at the 2023 CIF Southern Section after helping lead them to a team championship in the 2021 season.</span></p>
