its season with a tie for 14<sup>th</sup> at the Big 12 Championship on Thursday at Southern Hills.

was spearheaded by a good showing from Jonas Appel in his first full Big 12 Championship appearance. The Encinitas, Calif., native shot a final-round 70 to finish the week with an 11-over 291, good enough to tie for 29<sup>th</sup>.

Cowboy Preston Stout claimed individual medalist honors with a 3-under 277, one of just two players to finish the week in red figures.

Nos. 13 and 14 to turn at even. He played an even inward half as well, with a bogey at No. 4 and a birdie at No. 9 for the second straight day.

with a birdie at No. 12 but closed his first nine with bogeys at Nos. 15 and 18. A birdie at No. 11 erased a bogey at No. 10 before he finished out his round with two more bogeys at Nos. 4 and 9.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

to even. The junior would turn at 1-over after a bogey at No. 17. He settled in with seven straight pars to open his inward nine before two bogeys at Nos. 8 and 9 dropped him to 3-over.
