two of the weekend series at Hoglund Ballpark in Lawrence, Kan.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

infielder Tyriq Kemp and redshirt sophomore infielder Travis Sanders, the Bears were unable to slow down the KU bats, who hit six home runs in the series-clinching victory.

to third on senior outfielder Wesley Jordan’s ground-rule double. Simmons then delivered an RBI groundout to open the scoring.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

the third inning as the Jayhawks put up eight runs in the bottom of the third on two solo home runs, a two-run homer, a two-run double, an RBI double and an RBI single to climb in front, 8-1.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

that cut the deficit to 8-3. But Kansas answered right back with three more in the home half off a solo shot, a sacrifice fly and an RBI groundout to make it 11-3.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

career high. Baylor threatened for more in the sixth by loading the bases, but failed to score and trailed 11-4 headed to the seventh.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
