squad swept the season series with Cincinnati on Friday night at Fifth Third Arena, 3-1.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">BU (10-7, 4-3 Big 12) saw Cincinnati (9-8, 2-5 Big 12) take the first set but the Bears took the next three, 19-25, 25-15, 25-18, 25-21.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Baylor was led by Elise McGhee for the second-straight match, raking in 19 kills. Riley Simpson and Manuela Bibinbe also had double-digit
kills, with 15 and 12, respectively. Averi Carlson had 50 assists while leading the team with three aces alongside Lauren Briseño and McGhee. Tehani Ulufatu had 10 digs while Briseño led the team with 14. On the block, both Allie Sczech and Bibinbe had six.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Cincinnati started off hot with a kill, but Riley Simpson quickly followed. Carly Glendinning got the next kill for UC before Sczech
tied up at 2-2. The Bearcats had a kill, then an ace, but Bibinbe followed it up with a kill of her own, now 4-3 UC. An attack error by Glendinning tied it at 4-all. The Bearcats started another hot streak with a kill and an ace, but McGhee stopped it in its
tracks and made it 6-5, still down one. A service error put the Bearcats up by two but Bibinbe tried to help close the gap with a kill. The back and forth continued and Cincinnati made some separation with a 10-6 score, Baylor calling timeout. Out opf iot,
Simpson got a kill but then an attack error killed momentum. Alicia Andrew finished with a kill before a Cinci challenge reversed a call at 12-8. Sczech got a kill, then there was a service error and Bibinbe followed it with a kill, 13-10. A ball handling
error kept the gap closing but UC pushed further ahead with kills and blocks, putting them up 15-11. McGhee got a kill but the domination didn’t stop from the Bearcats, and at 19-14 the Bears called for another timeout. Blocks and errors kept BU from moving
the needle and the set ended on a Baylor service error, 25-19.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">After falling short in the first set, Baylor came out with renewed vigor. McGhee started it off with a kill and Sczech came next. UC
got a block but then Bibinbe and McGhee had one of their own, now 3-1. McGhee had a kill, but then UC had two kills before she got her next, 5-3. Simpson kept pushing Baylor forward with a kill and Bibinbe got an ace, 7-4. Glendinning got an ace and pulled
the Bearcats within one, but Simpson got a kill and then McGhee, 11-9. Cincinnati called time after a solo block came from Bibinbe, and out of it, McGhee got a kill. Bibinbe and Sczech teamed up for a block and Briseño got an ace, 15-9. After McGhee made it
17-10, Cincinnati called timeout. A service error and block stopped Baylor but not for long as Bibinbe had another solo block, 12-18. Simpson had a kill, McGhee served an ace, Simpson killed again but Washington stopped the run, now 21-13. Damage done, Bibinbe
got a kill, UC had an attack error, Carlson served an ace and Simpson finished the set out at 25-15.

error from the Bears but redeemed themselves with a McGhee kill to make it 2-2. On a run, Bibinbe had a kill, Ulufatu got an ace, going up 4-2. Bibinbe made it 5-4, then McGhee had an ace. The Bearcats had a ball handling error and McGhee had a second ace
just after, 8-4, UC calling timeout. The teams traded points but Carlson got an ace at 11-7. Sczech and Andrew put up a block to make it 12-9. Sczech got a kill but Cincinnati was within three. Briseño made more separation with an ace at 14-10, then Bibinbe
at 15-11. McGhee had a kill at 17-13 and Baylor had a successful challenge to make it 18-13. Bibinbe got a kill for the 19<sup>th</sup> point, but for the 21<sup>st</sup> point, Andrew, Simpson and Sczech went up for the triple block, pushing Cincinnati to
call timeout. Cincinnati tried to challenge an attack error call but were unsuccessful, Sczech getting a kill to make it 23-16. McGhee had a kill for set point, but the Bearcats held off the Bears for a point before Bibinbe finished it off at 25-18.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

an unsuccessful BU challenge to tie it at three. McGhee had a kill, then Simpson had two to go up 6-5. Carlson got an ace to make it 7-5, then Simpson got a kill followed by McGhee, 9-6. Cincinnati called timeout after a Briseño ace made it 11-7. Pushing ahead,
Bibinbe had a kill, McGhee had a solo block, then Bibinbe got another kill to make it 14-8. McGhee had a kill, then Simpson, then Bibinbe served an ace to go up by seven, 17-10. After Simpson made it eight, the Bearcats called time. Cincinnati started putting
points on the board and went all the way to 22-19, Baylor calling time. McGhee got a few more kills to take the Bears to set point. McGuyre challenged an out call on a McGhee ace which would’ve finished the set and match but was unsuccessful. An attack error

bit stronger after a slow start. Twelve aces, I think we can still be more efficient, but able to get some points from the service line, add some blocks to it, helped create some separation.”<o:p></o:p></span></p>
