Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">McGhee, a senior middle blocker, earned the honor after recording her second-career double-double against West Virginia on Oct. 8, posting 10 kills
and 10 blocks. It was her second match of the season recording double-digit blocks. She also led the team in points against the Mountaineers, raking in 16.5 over the three sets.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">She averaged 2.00 blocks per set for the week in matches against Oklahoma and West Virginia, averaging 3.33 blocks per set against the Mountaineers.
Totaling a league-best 16 blocks for the week, she had three solos – all against WVU – and 13 assisted.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">The San Antonio, Texas, native helped the Bears be the only Big 12 team to go 2-0 for the week. She currently sits at third in the nation and first
in the conference for overall blocks per set with 1.61. She’s fifth in the NCAA and first in the Big 12 for total blocks with 109.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">McGhee is also producing on the offensive side, with her 10 kills against the Mountaineers being her fourth-consecutive double-digit match in kills.
She had only one error in the match with WVU to have a .563 hitting percentage, and led the team over the two matches on the week with a .472. Her 12 kills against Oklahoma on Oct. 5 were a season-high for the senior, averaging 2.40 kills per set in that match
with a .400 hitting percentage. In the rankings, McGhee is second in the nation and first in the conference in hitting percentage at .447.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
