Baylor senior center Jacob Gall was named to the Rimington Award Watch List, announced Friday morning by the Boomer Esiason Foundation.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">The Rimington Award is presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I college football.
Since its inception, the award has raised over $5 million for the foundation. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">Gall is one of six Big 12 Conference representatives on the 40-man list. This is the first time the sixth-year
senior has been named to the Rimington Award Watch List.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">The Buffalo transfer made an immediate impact in his first year with the Bears, anchoring an offensive
line that paved the way to BU’s best season in program history. In the process, Gall was named to the Football Writers Association of America and the Phil Steele All-America Second Teams. He was also named to the Associated Press All-Big 12 Second Team, the
<i>Dave Campbell’s Texas</i> <i>Football</i> All-Texas Second Team and was tabbed All-Big 12 Honorable Mention by the league’s coaches.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">Gall started all 14 games in his first season at Baylor, leading an offensive line unit named a semifinalist
for the Joe Moore Award, which honors the nation's best offensive line.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Before arriving in Waco, Gall played 34 games with 13 starts in three seasons at the University of Buffalo.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">The senior has also been named to the
<i>Athlon</i> Preseason All-America First Team, All-Big 12 Team (Media), All-Big 12 First Team (<i>Athlon</i>, Phil Steele) and
<i>Dave Campbell’s Texas Football</i> All-Texas Second Team.</span></p>
