to an 8-2 victory over Tarleton (13-31) Tuesday night at Baylor Ballpark.<br>

Ahead of a 10-day break for final exams, BU found the win column thanks to a combined 11 strikeouts on the mound, four double plays turned and RBI hits from five different players.<br>
<br>
Cortlan Castle got things started for the Bears offensively, beating out an infield single with the bases loaded for the game’s first run in the bottom of the first. Esteban Cardoza-Oquendo followed that up with a two-RBI single to give Baylor a 3-0 lead after
the first frame.<br>
<br>
In the second, RBI groundouts by Tre Richardson and Kyle Nevin extended the lead to 5-0 and things held steady until the top of the sixth. Caley faced the minimum through five frames before allowing his first hit in the top of the sixth, an RBI double that
got the Texans on the board. He would turn the ball over to Golomb who pitched the next three innings and allowed just one hit of his own while striking out a career-high five batters.<br>

Baylor answered Tarleton’s tally with a three-spot in the bottom of the sixth, courtesy of a Jack Pineda RBI single and a pair of errors that allowed the other two runs to score, making it an 8-1 lead for the Bears. Cole Stasio came on to finish it out in the
ninth and allowed one unearned run in seeing out the victory. <br>
