IRVING, Texas –</span></b><span style="background:white"> No. 4 Baylor men’s tennis senior Matias Soto was named Big 12 Player of the Week, announced Tuesday by the conference.<o:p></o:p></span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">Soto, a native of Copiapo, Chile, went 4-0 overall for the weekend against No. 44 Oklahoma State and No. 34 Oklahoma.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">On the doubles courts, the 21<sup>st</sup>-ranked duo of Soto and Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi won 6-3 over the Cowboys’ Garcia and Maxim Verboven
on court two to start doubles play. Against OU’s Baptiste Anselmo and Mark Mandlik, they won 6-3 to clinch the doubles point.

of OU on court one, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6(4), to finish the match on Senior Day.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">He is now 11-6 for dual play in singles, 13-7 for the season, and 84-39 for his career. The fifth-year senior is now 4-0 on court one and 7-6 on
court two this season. Against nationally ranked opponents, Soto now has three wins. He’s 3-1 in Big 12 play this season and improved to 11-7 against conference opponents in his career.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">In doubles, he and Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi improved to 17-4 for the season, all on court two. They are 5-1 against ranked opponents and 7-3 in
their last 10 matches. Against Big 12 opponents they are a perfect 4-0. In his career, he is 85-29 in doubles, while going 18-6 this season with different partners. He is now 9-1 all-time against conference opponents in doubles play.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
