<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left"><b class="">FORT WORTH, Texas – </b>Baylor women’s golf shot an impressive 20-under 556 to lead by 15 shots over second-place Oklahoma State on day one at the Bruzzy Challenge at Waterchase Golf Club.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left">The second round was suspended by darkness with six teams still on the course, but the top-four teams finished their first two rounds.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left">On a windy day in Fort Worth, the Bears were unfazed with five rounds in the 60s, including two each by Gurleen Kaur and Addie Baggarly, who sit in first and second place, respectively.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left">Kaur finished Monday with the individual lead at 8-under 136, highlighted by a 5-under 67 in the second round, where she started six-under through the first six holes. She cooled a bit in the middle of the round with a 4-over
stretch from Nos. 9-11, but bounced back by playing her final seven holes at 3-under par, including her second eagle of the day at the par-5 13th. In round one, Kaur had an early double bogey at No. 3 but rebounded by playing the final 15 holes at five-under-par,
highlighted by four birdies in a five-hole stretch between Nos. 11-15 for a 3-under 69.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left">Baggarly shot a matching 69 in round one thanks to four birdies and a bogey to set a new career-best score at Baylor. She followed that up with a matching 69 in round two that was highlighted by back-to-back eagles at the
par-4 fifth and the par-5 sixth to get to 4-under through four holes. She made it to 5-under through eight holes before a double bogey dropped her back to 3-under through nine. The grad transfer finished off an even-par back nine with three birdies, pars,
and bogeys.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left">Rosie Belsham finished two shots back of Baggarly in fourth place at 4-under par. The sophomore shot a 1-over 73 in round one but took off with a 5-under 67 in round two. The England native was four under through four holes
with a par-eagle-birdie-birdie start and made it to 5-under through nine holes. Following bogeys at Nos. 11 and 12, Belsham carded her second eagle of the round at No. 13 and another birdie at 15 to reach 6-under par before a bogey at the last brought her
home with a 5-under 67, her best round of the season.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left">Britta Snyder finished two shots off Belsham’s pace with a 2-under 142 through two rounds. The sophomore from Ames, Iowa, played the front nine at one-under par in round one before a double bogey and a bogey at Nos. 10-11
dropped her back to 2-over for the round. Snyder birdied four of the final seven holes to get back into red figures with a 2-under 70. She kept the momentum rolling in the second round with birdies on two of her first four holes en route to a 1-under 35 opening
nine. Three bogeys and two birdies on her inward half saw Snyder finish with an even-par 72 in round two.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left">In her first start since March 13th, Antonia Matte played steady in harsh conditions carding a 4-over 148 after a pair of matching 74s. The freshman had a relatively clean card in round one with 16 pars and two bogeys to
finish below the stroke average of 74.74 in round one. She was 1-under through 10 holes in round two before finishing with three bogeys in her final eight holes.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left">BaiMai Seema made her first start as an individual on Monday and responded well with an opening-round 74, thanks to birdies on each of her final two holes. She followed that up with a 7-over 79 in round two.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left">Anika Veintemilla made her first start of the season and finished Monday in a tie for 66<sup class="">th</sup> after carding a 74 and an 81 on day one. Her first-round 74 was just one stroke off her career-best of 73.</p>
