at No. 24 Dallas Baptist (18-10) by a final of 11-6 at Horner Ballpark in Dallas.<br>

The Bears nearly erased a seven-run deficit, but were ultimately unable to overcome the Patriots. Jared McKenzie drove in four runs for the Bears to tie his career high and Brett Garcia turned in 3.2 perfect innings of work on the mound.<br>
<br>
DBU got on the board first with an RBI double in the bottom of the second inning, then plated six runs in the third to take a 7-0 lead through the first three frames. Garcia came on to get the final two outs, and that’s when Baylor started chipping away at
the deficit. <br>
<br>
After a scoreless fourth, McKenzie’s bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth got the Bears on the board, cutting the DBU lead to 7-3. In the sixth, Esteban Cardoza-Oquendo singled in a run to make it 7-4, then BU added another pair of runs in the seventh
to pull within one. McKenzie scored one of the tallies with a sacrifice fly before Kyle Nevin drove in another with an RBI single.<br>

However, that’s all the Bears would get as the Patriots responded with a four-run frame in the bottom of the seventh and kept Baylor in check the rest of the way.
