Silvestri has been named the National Collegiate Equestrian Association’s (NCEA) Flat Rider of the Month for March, as announced Wednesday afternoon by the organization.<br>
<br>
The Andover, Mass., product finished the regular season on a high note with two career-high scores in a pair of road meets. She posted a 91 at No. 8 Fresno State, then followed it up with an 88.5 at UC Davis to win both of her points this month and help the
Bears to a 13-7 win over the Aggies.<br>
<br>
This is Silvestri’s first-career monthly award and BU’s ninth recognition as a team on the year. The Bears have received four Big 12 monthly awards so far and five NCEA accolades during the 2021-22 campaign.<br>
<br>
Sixth-ranked Baylor closed out its regular season at 6-6 and will compete in the 2022 Big 12 Championship later this week as the No. 4 seed. Action begins on Friday, March 25, as the Bears face off with No. 1 Oklahoma State at 10 a.m. from TCU’s Diamond Creek
Ranch in Burleson.<br>
