a 10-9 loss in its Big 12 and home opener to No. 4 Oklahoma State (1-0) Friday afternoon at the Willis Family Equestrian Center in Waco.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;letter-spacing:.25pt">The Bears held a 5-4 halftime advantage and led 9-8 going in to the final two rides, but the Cowgirls pulled out the final two points to steal
the victory.<br>

BU opened the day with a 3-2 event win in Fences with Emma Fletcher, Caroline Fuller and Madison Mitchell collecting points. Over in the Western arena, the Bears and Cowgirls tied 2-2 in Reining. Daisy Kaufman and Jenna Meimerstorf won their points with scores
of 71 and 72, respectively.<br>

Following the halftime break, Baylor hung tough in both Flat and Horsemanship, but dropped both events 3-2. Fuller and Dominika Silvestri gathered points in Flat, each scoring above an 80. Meanwhile, Gabrielle Marty and Nadalee Vasquez put the tallies on the
board in Horsemanship, but it ultimately wasn’t enough.<br>

Meimerstorf and Silvestri each picked up Most Outstanding Performer honors for their efforts, the first of each of their careers.<br>
