<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">ARLINGTON, Texas – </span></b><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">Baylor baseball dropped its midweek contest to UT Arlington, 4-3, in 11 innings on Tuesday
night at Clay Gould Ballpark. The Mavericks (8-11) snapped the Bears (13-7) 10-game win streak over non-conference opponents.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">Baylor got on the board in the third inning after junior Esteban Cardoza-Oquendo walked and redshirt sophomore Chase Wehsener used an infield single to make it first and second, one
out. Later in the inning, newcomer Jack Pineda came up with the two-out RBI-single to third base to give the Bears the 1-0 advantage.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">The Bears doubled their lead in the top-half of the sixth after second-year freshman Cade Currington ripped an RBI-single to right field to score Pineda. In the home-half, UTA got
a run back with a solo shot to right, to make it a one-run game again.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">The Mavericks led for the first time in the game in the seventh, using a two-out RBI-single that scored two and gave UTA the 3-2 edge. Baylor responded in the eighth with a sacrifice
fly from second-year freshman Kyle Nevin to knot the game at 3-3.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
