one of the finalists for the Pop Warner College Football Award, announced on Friday. The award was established in 2010 to recognize a graduating student-athlete who has made a difference on the field, in the classroom and in his community, and serves as a
role model to Pop Warner’s young student athletes.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">Bernard was leading the Big 12 in tackles per game (11.0), tied for fourth in tackles-for-loss (1.30) and fifth in sacks per game (.70) before suffering
a season-ending shoulder injury against Iowa State. Off the field, Bernard has made a lasting impact in the community, in the classroom and as a leader.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">In the community, Bernard has volunteered with various organizations in his time at Baylor, including Pack of Hope, NoLimitations, The Salvation
Army and Local 254 Kid Clinic, among others. In the classroom, he has been named First Team All-Academic Big 12 twice, while already completing his undergraduate degree in health, kinesiology & leisure studies in August 2020.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
