Pressley was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, while Kara McGhee received Defensive Player of the Week honors, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.<br>
<br>
Pressley picked up her second weekly award of the season, and 17<sup>th</sup> of her career, tying her for the most in conference history. The senior knocked down 31 kills on a .380 clip over the weekend, collecting 4.43 kills per set in two victories over
No. 15 West Virginia. She was errorless in Saturday’s sweep, recording 17 kills on 26 swings for an astounding .654 efficiency.<br>
<br>
The Cypress native also contributed in the passing game with nine digs, and chipped in with nine blocks to total 36 points in the series. Pressley has led the Bears in kills in each of the last 10 matches and she leads the Big 12 with 189 terminations.<br>
<br>
McGhee received the defensive award for the second-consecutive week and fourth time in her career. Once again, she was a force in the front row, tallying 14 blocks (2.00 per set) in the series sweep of the Mountaineers. The sophomore MB produced seven rejections
in each match, helping BU to a season-high 14.5 stuffs on Friday and another 12 on Saturday.<br>
<br>
McGhee’s efforts have been a big part of the Bears’ three-straight double-digit block performances, as Baylor has held its opponents to hitting under .175 in five-consecutive contests. The Bears held WVU to hitting just .055 and .032 to extend their winning
streak to 11 matches.<br>
<br>
Baylor has now garnered six Big 12 weekly awards in 2020 for most in the league. This is the first time in program history that the Bears have won the same award in four-consecutive weeks, as Shanel Bramschreiber, Laché Harper and McGhee have teamed up to bring
home defensive honors each week since Oct. 13.<br>
