List, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Thursday.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">“That’s a very prestigious honor for KC,” head coach Todd Harbour said. “Of all the honors he’s received this year, that’s a big one. It’s very well-deserved, and we’re very
happy for KC.”<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Following a deliberation by The Bowerman Watch List Committee, 22 athletes received votes on the list, making it a total of 32 who have received votes on the Men’s Watch List
for The Bowerman – collegiate track & field’s highest honor – throughout the 2020 season thus far.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Lightfoot makes his debut on the watch list with a strong indoor season to this point in which he won the Big 12 Championship in the pole vault for the second-consecutive season.
The sophomore from Lee’s Summit, Mo., notched 19-foot clearances in three consecutive weeks, including a personal-best 19-1½ (5.83m) to win the event title at the Iowa State Classic. He is the second Baylor men’s athlete to be named to the watch list, joining
Trayvon Bromell (2015).<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">“The Bowerman is a huge deal, and making it on the watch list is a big honor,” Lightfoot said. “I couldn’t do what I do without all of the support I have with trainers and coaches.
I’m excited and more motivated than ever going into NCAAs next week, and can hopefully stay injury free and put up some big bars in Albuquerque.”<o:p></o:p></span></p>
