Bears climbed five spots into fifth place at 10-over 570 with one round remaining at Belmar Golf Club.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Baylor tied the best second-round score in the 15-team field at 5-under, which was a 20-stroke improvement from their first-round score of 15-over. The Bears (+10) trail
only Oklahoma (-3), Texas (-2), Alabama (+6) and Illinois (+8) entering Sunday’s final round. BU leads Mississippi State (+11), Houston (+12), Florida State (+13), Clemson (+15), Louisville (+16), Texas A&M (+21), Notre Dame (+22), Texas State (+23), Miami
(+23) and TCU (+28).<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Baylor’s Gurleen Kaur and Elodie Chapelet both posted career-best rounds of 4-under 66, becoming the sixth and seventh players in program history to card 66 or better.
Kaur started on the back-9 and made three birdies on his first seven holes. She was 3-under at the turn, and after a bogey on No. 1 she made birdies on No. 6 and No. 9 to finish at 4-under. Chapelet also took the turn at 3-under after making three straight
birdies on Nos. 14, 15 and 16. She got to 4-under with a birdie on No. 3, then recovered from a double bogey on No. 4 by making birdies on Nos. 7 and 8.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
