STORYLINES
LEADING OFF
• Baylor Baseball wraps up its mini four-game road swing on Tuesday night at Tarleton State before opening up an eight-game homestand this weekend against Air Force.
• The Bears will welcome Air Force and Sam Houston to Waco before hosting West Virginia to begin Big 12 Conference play on March 13-15. A non-conference midweek matchup against K-State rounds out the homestand on March 17.
• BU is coming off a 1-2 weekend at the 2026 BRUCE BOLT College Classic in which the Bears collected the highest-ranked win of the Mitch Thompson era, a 6-5 thriller in extra innings over No. 11 Ole Miss.
• Redshirt freshman OF Hunter Snow delivered the big blow, a go-ahead three-run home run in the top of the eighth against the Rebels. After another lead change and a tie, redshirt senior 1B Tyce Armstrong came through with the game-winning knock to score sophomore INF Pearson Riebock in the 10th inning, and fifth-year senior RHP Caleb Bunch shut things down to earn his third win of the year.
• BU returns 20 players from its 2025 roster, including three position player starters (Johnson, Sanders, Riebock), and welcomes 17 newcomers. Baylor has 19 underclassmen (Fr., R-Fr., So., R-So.) on its 2026 squad.
• 30 players on the 37-man roster are in their first or second years with the program.
ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT ON TUESDAY NIGHT
• Baylor is 4-1 all-time against Tarleton State, including a 3-1 record against the Texans under fourth-year head coach Mitch Thompson. The Bears have won each of the last three meetings.
• This is Baylor's first trip to Stephenville since May 16, 2023, when the Bears won a 4-2 ballgame over TSU.
• Against fellow teams from the state of Texas, BU is 2-2 in 2026.
• The Bears are 2-0 this year in midweek ballgames and have won 18 of their last 19 midweek contests, dating back to March 26, 2024.
• Baylor is 29-11 in midweek games during the Thompson Era.
PROBABLE STARTING PITCHERS
• Tues. March 3 • 6:00 p.m. CT • RHP Cayden Baker (0-0, 20.25 ERA, 2.2 IP) vs. RHP Kobe Minchey (0-0, 0.00 ERA, 0.0 IP)
LAST TIME OUT
• Baylor went 1-2 at the BRUCE BOLT College Classic in Houston at Daikin Park, home of the Houston Astros.
• The Bears picked up their ninth win at the event since 2017 and seventh ranked win, which also marked the highest-ranked win of the Thompson Era (6-5 vs. No. 11 Ole Miss).
• Redshirt junior shortstop Travis Sanders had a great weekend at the plate, going 6-for-12 at the tournament with a couple of RBIs.
• Freshman C/DH Cash McDade hit his first-career home run on Sunday night vs. No. 23 UTSA.
BY THE NUMBERS

• Baylor has turned 13 double plays in 11 games, which leads the conference and ranks seventh nationally.
• Baylor's 4-0 start to its season was just its third 4-0 start to a season since 2019 (2019, 2025, 2026).
• BU has faced five ranked opponents and four of the top-eight RPI teams at this point in the year (No. 1 Southern Miss, No. 5 UTSA, No. 6 Texas and No. 8 Ole Miss).
