WACO, Texas -- Baylor football will host a bevy of events related to the Big 12 Fall Tour over Thursday-Friday-Saturday.



Events begin on Thursday with a special Big 12, Baylor, and College Football Playoff Foundation partnership with J.H. Hines Elementary School, which will feature the funding of a remodel of the student wellness center. Representatives from the Big 12, Baylor, and College Football Playoff Foundation will be on hand to celebrate the project and visit with students.



Events continue on Friday at the Allstate Empowerment Event at the Cashion Banquet Hall on Baylor’s campus. Faculty, staff and student-athletes are invited to attend the catered lunch, which will feature an information panel moderated by a Big 12 staff member and with panelists including BU President Dr. Linda Livingstone and Baylor Deputy AD and Chief Operating Officer Jovan Overshown, BU Vice President for Student Life Dr. Sharra Hynes, BU’s Director of Advancement, Pearlie Beverly, and Executive Director of the Waco Downtown Farmers Market, Bethel Erickson.



On game day starting at 3:30 p.m., there will be a special set-up at Touchdown Alley in advance of the Baylor vs. Arizona State clash. The Graham St. Clair Band, which features six BU alumni, will perform on the SeatGeek Stage for an hour immediately following the Bear Walk. There will be 3,000 rally towels available for fans at the Touchdown Alley marketing tent.

Thursday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  |  J.H. Hines Elementary Remodel

  *   Big 12 and Baylor partnering on a remodel of a student wellness center
  *   There will be an event held for a select group of the students before revealing the new space
  *   Representatives from the Big 12, College Football Playoff Foundation, and Baylor will speak to the students
  *   Baylor student-athletes and spirit team with Bruiser will be in attendance
  *   Teachers at J.H. Hines Elementary will receive a gift from Kendra Scott Jewelry
  *   Local media encouraged to come to highlight the event



Friday, September 19 at 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.  |  Allstate Empowerment Event
