WACO, Texas -- Baylor’s men’s and women’s golf teams are set to open the 2025 fall season at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, hosted at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Mich. The three-day, 54-hole event begins Monday and will be televised nationally on Golf Channel.



Head coach for the women's team Jay Goble sets up the first lineup for the 2025-2026 season including a blend of proven contributors and new talent.



Returning senior Silje Ohma anchors the lineup with 95 career rounds, 28 shy of the top-10 in program history, a career stroke average of 73.46, ranking ninth-best in program history.



Malena Castro makes her sophomore debut after gaining experience in six events last year. She made an NCAA Regional-opening par 72, a feat not seen from a BU freshman since 2018.



Amelia Wan will play out of the No. 3 spot as she arrives as a decorated freshman from Europe. Her resume includes winning the 2025 Welsh Women's Stroke Play by seven shots in May, and a win in the 2024 SSGT Strokeplay Championship in England.



Senior transfer from Oakland University, Bridget Boczar, takes the No. 4 spot as a two-time winner of the Golf Association of Michigan Women’s Championship, a three-time winner at the collegiate level and a two-time all-conference performer.



Yurang Li will take the fifth and final spot as a junior transfer from Illinois. She brings her experience of playing two seasons in Champaign, for Illinois, carding 51 rounds across 17 tournaments over the last two seasons.



Head Coach Mike McGraw lines up the men's team with five strong players.



Senior leader Jonas Appel takes the No. 1 spot with team-best 73.25 stroke average in 2024-2025 and led Baylor in par-4 scoring par-or-better percentage (78.8%) and total pars (323).



Evan Vo, a senior Auburn transfer, averaged 73.00 strokes per round over nine rounds of competition and carded three rounds at par or better in 2024-2025. He takes the No. 2 spot.



Securing the third spot, Sam Dossey, brings experience (45 rounds, 74.96 career average). He notched Baylor's second-best final round as a sub at the Big 12 Championship.



The No. 4 spot belongs to Alex Heard, a junior transfer from UConn, with championship experience. He won the Big East Championship, going 2-0-1 in the match play portion.



Martin Kemp will take the fifth spot for the men’s team. Played five events, all as an individual and tied for 41st in his first collegiate event at the Minnesota Golf Classic.



The Tournament will feature a bevy of teams from both the men’s side, including Cal, Cincinnati, Florida A&M, Florida State, Grand Valley State, Michigan State, Army, Missouri, Navy, Ohio State, Alabama, Kansas, Notre Dame and Air Force.



On the women’s side, Baylor is joined by Delaware State, Findlay, Florida State, Michigan State, Navy, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Arizona, Kansas, North Carolin and Kentucky.
