WACO, Texas -- Junior Yurang Li won her second straight event and helped lead No. 15 Baylor women’s golf to a second-place finish in the 2025 Bear Brawl, hosted at Ridgewood Country Club on Tuesday.



Baylor finished second in the 36-hole, one-day event with another championship performance from Li. Baylor shot a 272-292 with a total team score of 564 to finish just behind No. 4 Texas A&M.



Li fired a first-round 65, equaling the best score in program history and a number she posted last week in Hawaii. She was 5-under with seven birdies in her opening round. She followed that up with an even-par 70 to win the event title by two strokes over A&M’s Cayetana Fernandez Garcia-Poggio, ranked No. 12 nationally.



Malena Castro finished fourth with an even-par score over 36 holes. She fired a first-round 69 with five birdies, and then posted a one-over 71.



Charlotte Brook posted a 69 with a 1-under showing in the first round that featured four birdies and a front-nine 32. She finished tied for 17th after an eight-over on the final 18.



Silje Ohma posted a 69 in the first round, dancing around a double on three to finished with a back-9 that saw her post a 5-under 30. She finished tied for 13th after shooting a seven-over on the final 18.



Bridget Boczar was even par on the first round, including four straight birdies to close the front nine, and then posted a 4-over final round score to finish ninth overall.



Amelia Wan shot a 75 in the first round and fired a four-over 74 in the second round to place 21st.



Mallory Matthews fired a six-over 76 in the first round and a 12-over 82 in the second round to place 53rd.



Obi Chan had a first-round 8-over 78 in the first round and an 11-over 81 in the final round to place tied for 53rd.



Baylor will return to action in the spring season, traveling to the PDI Intercollegiate in Orlando on Jan. 25-27.
