WACO, Texas -- Yurang Li fired a final round 65 to win the individual title and lead No. 15 Baylor Women’s Golf to the 2025 Rainbow Wahine Invitational Championship, on Monday-Wednesday at the Ocean Course Hokuala in Līhu‘e, Kaua‘I, Hawaii, hosted by the University of Hawaii.



Baylor, ranked No. 15 in the first poll of the 2025-26 season, cruised to a 10-shot victory in the 19-team field, paced by a final round team score of 12-under. Baylor shot a 9-under on Monday and a 7-over on Tuesday. It marked Baylor’s first tournament title since winning The PDI Intercollegiate in 2024-25 and marked the third Rainbow Wahine Invitational title, with the Bears winning in 2021 and 2023.



Baylor’s 850 total team score ranked as the 18th best tournament team score in program history.



A native of Fullerton, Calif., Li posted a career-best and school-record tying 65 on Wednesday to become the first Bear to win an individual title since Silje Ohma won the two-round Waco River Classic in 2024. Rosie Belsham won the 2023 Rainbow Wahine Classic with a 209 total score. It marked the 18th time in program history that a Bear fired a 65 in tournament play and the first time since Ohma had a 65 in the second round of the season opening 2025-26 Folds of Honor Collegiate. With a 204 total score, Li charted the fifth-best tournament score – and just four strokes off the school standard – and the best since Ohma in 2025 at the PDI Intercollegiate.



Li opened the tournament with a 67 on Monday, which featured an eagle and four birdies to start 5-under. She fired an even-par 72 in challenging conditions on Tuesday that featured three birdies, before a historic final round on Wednesday. She was bogey free and charted seven birdies, including four straight birdies from 14-17, to post a final-round 65.



Chasing Li on the individual leaderboard were four Bears who posted top-20 finishes. Ohma placed third with a 5-under tournament score that featured a 69-70-72 tournament score.



Malena Castro finished tied for sixth with a 212 total score, including an opening round 68, followed by a 76 and a final round 68.



Competing as an individual, Charlotte Brook finished tied for 17th, highlighted by an opening round 68, a 78 on Tuesday, and a 71 to close at 1-over for the event.



Bridget Boczar finished 48th with a 76-77-71, with a final round that was bogey free and saw her birdie 18 to finish at 1-under.



Freshman Obi Chan went 74-77-76 as an individual to finish 11-over, freshman Amelia Wan had a 75-78-77 tournament for a 14-over finish and senior Mallory Matthews made his season debut with a 79-80-74 tournament to finish 17-over.



Santa Clara and Missouri finished tied for second with a 4-under team score.



Baylor returns home on Oct. 28 to host the one-day event, The Bear Brawl, to wrap up the fall schedule.
