WACO, Texas – Baylor volleyball freshman Ksenia Rakhmanchik was named the Big 12’s Rookie of the Week, announced Tuesday by the league office.



The Minsk, Belarus, native also won the award on Oct. 14th, and is one of three BU freshmen to pick up a conference weekly award this season. This is the first time in program history multiple freshmen have won multiple Big 12 Rookie of the Week honors in the same year.



Rakhmanchik powered No. 23 Baylor to a 2-0 week with one of the most dominant offensive stretches of her young career, totaling 33 kills (5.50 per set) while hitting .296 and adding nine service aces and 46.5 points across sweeps of West Virginia and Utah.



The Rookie was unstoppable in Sunday’s win over the Utes, delivering 18 kills and seven aces, the most aces ever by a Baylor freshman in a three-set match. With Sunday's serving performance, she now ranks sixth in the Big 12 with .37 aces per set in league play. Her 18 kills were also the most by any Bear in a three-set contest this season and the most by a Baylor freshman since 2023.



Earlier in the week, she led all players with 15 kills in the win over West Virginia, and now has 239 on the year, the third-most by a freshman in program history.



Rakhmanchik fueled a Baylor offense that hit .301 over the two-match span, including a .337 mark, its best in Big 12 play, against Utah, helping the Bears improve to 10-1 at home and 9-5 in Big 12 play.
