* 14/15 Baylor advances to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Championship with a win over Grand Canyon, 73-60, on Friday afternoon at Foster Pavilion in Waco.
* BU picked up a win in its 21st-consecutive NCAA Tournament and snapped the nation’s longest win streak in GCU’s 30 that dated back to November 27, 2024.
* With the first 3-pointer within the first two minutes, the Bears set a new program record at 264 and counting.
* Shooting .500 for the first time since the WVU game on February 11, 2025, Baylor is 279-2 when hitting the half-century mark all-time.
* BU has its first win over GCU, 1-0 all-time.
* The Bears are 58-19 in the NCAA Tournament, 19-2 when hosting.
* Aaronette Vonleh totaled double-double No. 5 of the season in a 25-point, 11-rebound effort over the Lopes, going 5-of-7 from the charity stripe. The senior scored her 500th point, the first for a Bear since NaLyssa Smith’s 2021-22 season.
* Jada Walker shot 7-of-9 for 17 points to go with four assists and five rebounds, hitting the double-figure point mark for the 22nd time this year.
* Yaya Felder hit 12 points and six rebounds, getting a big and-1 to all but close out the game down the stretch.
* Bella Fontleroy had nine points and nine rebounds with a block and a pair from behind the arc.
* Aliyah Matharu hit a 3-pointer and a pair of free throws for five points and her first block since the February 22, 2025, contest against Iowa State.
* Sarah Andrews collected all of her three points from free throws, going 3-of-4 with a game-leading seven assists.
* Playing 18 minutes in her first game in 34 days, Darianna Littlepage-Buggs returned from injury with two points and four rebounds.
* Grand Canyon was the first team since UNLV on December 8, 2024, to not block a shot.
* GCU’s Trinity San Antonio’s 26 field goal attempts are the most for a BU opponent this season.
* Collen is 102-35 in her fourth season leading the Bears, 4-3 in the NCAA Tournament.
* Collen is 11-9 in the month of March.
* Baylor used the lineup of Yaya Felder, Jada Walker, Sarah Andrews, Aaronette Vonleh and Bella Fontleroy as its first five for the ninth time this season.
* Felder is 8-2, Walker is 54-15, Andrews is 99-36, Fontleroy is 49-17 and Vonleh is 28-7 as starters at Baylor.
