10/8 TCU (28-3, 16-2 Big 12) 51, 17/18 Baylor (25-6, 15-3 Big 12) 48
Waco, Texas (Foster Pavilion)
Sunday, March 2, 2025

  * 17/18 Baylor was outlasted by 10/8 TCU, 51-48, on Sunday evening at Foster Pavilion in a bout for the Big 12 Regular Season title.
  * It was the first time in league history that the women’s basketball regular season title was decided on the final day of competition, much less the final regular season game tipping off across the conference.
  * The Bears played a strong defensive game, holding TCU to its second-fewest points of the season (51) at 35.8% from the field, but offensively BU scored its fewest points of the 2024-25 campaign on the second-lowest field goal percentage at just 27.7%.
  * The 27.7% shooting effort is the lowest in a home game since March 7, 2010, when Baylor shot 25.0% against Texas.
  * BU forced 18 turnovers in the contest and only gave up six, its second lowest of the season behind four at TCU in January.
  * Aaronette Vonleh scored 17 points with 10 rebounds for her second-straight double-double, fourth of the season.
  * Yaya Felder matched Vonleh’s 17 points and had a shot to tie the game with under 10 seconds left in the contest. Felder had five rebounds and a block.
  * Jada Walker scored eight points and tied for the team lead in assists with four.
  * Bella Fontleroy returned to the floor with just four points but picked up eight rebounds and had a game-high three steals.
  * Sarah Andrews was held to just one point but kept her scoring streak alive, now at 133 games. The fifth-year senior, who was honored pregame for taking the Baylor program record for games played, was 0-of-7 from the field and 0-2 from deep, but found four assists to match Walker for the lead among the Bears.
  * Aliyah Matharu also just had one point but had a steal and three rebounds.
  * Collen is 99-34 in her fourth season leading the Bears, 52-20 in Big 12 play.

  * Collen is 8-8 in the month of March.
  * Baylor used the lineup of Yaya Felder, Jada Walker, Sarah Andrews, Aaronette Vonleh and Bella Fontleroy as its first five for the fifth time this season.
     * Felder is 5-1, Walker is 51-14, Andrews is 96-35, Fontleroy is 46-16 and Vonleh is 25-6 as starters at Baylor.
  * Baylor awaits its opponent as the No. 2 seed in the 2025 Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Championship, with a quarterfinal game time set for 5:30 p.m. CT on Friday.
