WACO, Texas – Baylor men’s golf released its schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season Thursday, announced by head coach Mike McGraw.
The 10 regular-season events span from Los Cabos, Mexico, to Myrtle Beach, S.C., with three events in Texas, including two in Dallas. The Big 12 Championship returns to Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan., while the NCAA Championship is back at the Omni La Costa resort in Carlsbad, Calif. Head coach Mike McGraw feels good about this schedule heading into 2025-26.
“This is a great schedule for us,” he said. “Starting our year on Golf Channel at the Folds of Honor Collegiate before heading to the Fighting Illini will test us right from the beginning. Buoyed by some of our familiar stops at Olympia Fields and Cabo, it will test this team, but if we play good golf, it sets us up to have some success in our quest to get back to La Costa.”
BU’s season starts with a bang as one of 15 men’s teams taking part in the Folds of Honor Collegiate at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Mich., Sept. 8-10. Televised live on the Golf Channel, it also features a women's event, which the Baylor women's program will be competing in as well.
The season continues the following week at the Fighting Illini Invitational at Olympia Fields Country Club, Sept. 19-21. The host of five men's major championships and the 2015 US Amateur, the Bears won at Olympia Fields in 2019 and are appearing in the event for the 12th time in the last 13 seasons.
Baylor’s first event in the Lone Star State runs from Oct. 5-7 at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, as SMU welcomes the Bears back to its home course for the first time since 2022. BU’s third-place finish at the former home of the Byron Nelson Championship in 2022 was its best at the venue since winning the Trinity Forest Invitational in 2018.
The Bears return to the site of the 2025 Big 12 Championship, Southern Hills C.C., for the Clerico on October 27-28, before wrapping up the fall slate at the Kapolei Collegiate Nov. 5-6.
The spring semester begins close to home with the Bentwater Collegiate in Montgomery, Texas, Feb. 9-10.
The first of three tournaments in the month of March takes the Bears south of the border for the Cabo Collegiate, March 1-3. Making its 12th-straight appearance in the event, BU finished second in 2017 en route to its best NCAA Championship finish in school history.
Next up, BU will make a return trip to a couple of events it competed in a season ago, with appearances in the Hackler March 15-17 and the Maridoe Collegiate March 30-31.
Baylor’s first appearance in the Mountaineer Invitational will come April 13-14, before returning to Prairie Dunes Country Club for the 2026 Big 12 Championship April 27-29.
NCAA Regionals will run from May 18-20 at one of six sites, including Athens, Ga.; Bermuda
Run, N.C.; Bryan, Texas; Columbus, Ohio; Corvallis, Ore.; and Marana, Ariz.
The NCAA Championship returns to the Omni LaCosta Resort in Carlsbad, Calif., hosted by the University of Texas, May 29-June 3. In the first championship played at the renovated Gil Hanse design, BU finished 14th in 2024, its third-best NCAA finish in program history.
