  *   Baylor picked up its first ranked win of the season in its first attempt over No. 23 Utah, 70-61, at Foster Pavilion on Tuesday evening.
  *   Nicki Collen moves to 18-16 over ranked foes in the win and Baylor has 49 wins at home over Top 25 opponents since the 2010-11 season in 59 tries.
  *   Having their best shooting performance of conference play and their third 50%-plus game over a Power Four squad this season, the Bears were 53.7% from the floor (29-54).
  *   Down its leading rebounder, Baylor picked up its second win of the slate when being outrebounded by its opponent, 31 to 29.
  *   BU led for just over 34 minutes of Tuesday’s contest, stretching the lead to as much as 11 just before the halfway mark of the third quarter.
  *   BU improves to 10-1 at home this season, gaining the Foster Pavilion’s 17th win and third over an opponent ranked in the AP Top 25.
  *   Collen is 89-31 in her fourth season leading the Bears, 42-18 in Big 12 play.

  *   Collen is 17-9 in the month of January.
  *   Aaronette Vonleh had 19 on Tuesday, aiding the Bears’ 44 points in the paint with four rebounds. It was the fourth time this season she led the scoring efforts for the green and gold.
  *   Bella Fontleroy had her second double-double of the season, eighth of her career, in a 17-point, 10-rebound showing that drew five fouls from the Utes with five steals and a pair of blocks. Fontleroy played in a career-high 39 minutes, only seeing 34 seconds of bench time.
  *   Jada Walker put up her second double-double of the gauntlet, aided by a career-high 12 assists, with 12 points. Walker had a trio of steals in 37 minutes of play.
  *   Yaya Felder had a big impact for BU, scoring 11 in her second start as a Bear.
  *   Kyla Abraham had a pair of shots sunk from the paint, with one rebound.
  *   Aliyah Matharu scored off a triple in the first quarter and, at the time, was 4-of-5 from the arc since draining her first three as a Bear in Tucson.
  *   Sarah Andrews was held to just two points, breaking her streak of 25-straight games with a 3-pointer that went back to Feb. 24, 2024’s game against West Virginia last season.
  *   Freshman Kayla Nelms scored her first points in Big 12 play against the Utes, playing five minutes in her third league-game appearance.
  *   Baylor was forced to use a new lineup for the first time this season, putting Yaya Felder, Jada Walker, Sarah Andrews, Aaronette Vonleh and Bella Fontleroy out as its first five.
     *   Felder got her second start at BU, first of the year and 38th of her career, and is 2-0 when getting the starting nod.
     *   Walker is 41-11, Andrews is 86-32, Fontleroy is 36-13 and Vonleh is 15-3 as starters at Baylor.
  *   Baylor continues its two-game home stand against Houston, fresh off a top 25 upset of Oklahoma State, on Friday night at 6 p.m. CT.
