* 19/22 Baylor defeated Iowa State, 67-52, in Waco on Saturday afternoon in the annual Play4Kay game.
* The Bears extend their league-best winning streak to eight straight games, without dropping a contest since the January 26th defeat at No. 9 TCU.
* BU shot 43.4% in the game, holding the Cyclones to just 34.0%, keeping Audi Crooks well below her season average of 22.6 points with just 14.
* Nicki Collen is now 4-4 against Bill Fennelly, snapping the streak of four-straight Iowa State wins that began February 18, 2023.
* Baylor was held to single-digit points in the fourth quarter for the second-straight game, scoring nine.
* The Bears were outrebounded 36 to 32 but still picked up the win for the third time this season, all coming in Big 12 play. 32 rebounds are knotted for the second lowest for BU this season behind Utah’s 29 and tied with Oregon.
* BU used a nine-point run late in the third quarter to take the biggest lead of the game at 20 points.
* Yaya Felder led the scoring efforts for BU, tabbing 15. The senior had a pair of rebounds and three assists. Six of those points came from back-to-back threes that gave BU a 10-point lead.
* Just behind Felder, Bella Fontleroy had 14 points with a team-best five steals, tying her career high, and six rebounds.
* Aaronette Vonleh matched Fontleroy’s six rebounds with 11 points and a block.
* The Bears got 12 points from Jada Walker, who was 2-of-4 from deep, 4-4 from the charity stripe.
* Sarah Andrews also had a perfect night from the free throw line, going 4-4 to boost her points total to nine on the afternoon. Andrews, who was recognized pre-game for taking the Big 12 career games played record, also had four assists and three steals.
* Scoring in back-to-back Big 12 games for the first time, Waiata Jennings had three points off a first-quarter three, but had two big rebounds and a block.
* Kyla Abraham was held to just two points off two shots, but matched the team lead in rebounds at six. Abraham tied her career-best mark in blocks at three.
* Aliyah Matharu’s lone point came in the second quarter from the line, but the Florida transfer had three assists and a steal.
* Collen is 98-33 in her fourth season leading the Bears, 51-19 in Big 12 play.
* Collen is 28-8 in the month of February.
* Baylor used the lineup of Yaya Felder, Jada Walker, Sarah Andrews, Aaronette Vonleh and Bella Fontleroy as its first five for the third time this season.
* Felder is 4-0, Walker is 50-13, Andrews is 95-34, Fontleroy is 45-15 and Vonleh is 24-5 as starters at Baylor.
* Baylor hits the road for a quick turnaround at K-State on Monday evening. The 6 p.m. tipoff will be live on ESPN2 and the Baylor Sports Media Network.
