* 23/RV Baylor defeated 18/18 West Virginia, 76-65, on Tuesday night at Foster Pavilion in the program’s highest-ranked win of the season.
* The Bears shot an even 50.0% from the field and the arc, the squad’s second-highest percentage from three in conference play behind the program record night of 17 made that was 60.7%.
* West Virginia, a team that forces a league-high 25.4 turnovers entering the night, forced just 16 from BU, their second lowest of the season behind 15 from then-No. 5 Texas in December.
* Five bench points were the second fewest from the Bears this season behind four coming against UNLV.
* BU had 19 assists on 26 made baskets, with two players recording the team-high seven, Sarah Andrews and Darianna Littlepage-Buggs, who improved her career high for the second time in three games.
* Littlepage-Buggs was one point shy of her 11th double-double, scoring just nine points with 13 rebounds. The junior also had a team-leading two steals.
* In the steals column, West Virginia’s 13 were the most from a foe this year led by Kyah Watson’s six.
* All four of Andrews’ made baskets were from behind the arc for 12 points.
* Aaronette Vonleh’s 21 points were the most on the floor on Tuesday evening among either team, going 10-of-12 with four rebounds and a pair of blocks.
* Bella Fontleroy had her 10th game this season with multiple 3-pointers made, sinking four for 15 points.
* Jada Walker rounded out BU’s double-digit scoring production with 13 points, getting seven from the charity strip off nine shots.
* Aliyah Matharu had a quiet offensive night with just three points, but the mid-year addition put up a season-high five rebounds, three off the offensive glass and two off the defensive.
* Yaya Felder’s two points off the bench came from the free throw line on Tuesday.
* Kyla Abraham was scoreless in the contest, but came up with a big block and rebound in her seven minutes on the court.
* Collen is 95-33 in her fourth season leading the Bears, 47-19 in Big 12 play.
* Collen is 25-8 in the month of February.
* Baylor used the familiar lineup of Darianna Littlepage-Buggs, Jada Walker, Sarah Andrews, Aaronette Vonleh and Bella Fontleroy as its first five for the 25th time this season.
* Littlepage-Buggs is 58-15, Walker is 47-13, Andrews is 92-34, Fontleroy is 42-15 and Vonleh is 21-5 as starters at Baylor.
* Baylor is back on the road in West Texas, playing Texas Tech on Saturday afternoon at the United Supermarkets Arena. Tipoff from Lubbock is scheduled for 2 p.m. on ESPN+ and the Baylor Sports Media Network.
