IRVING, Texas – Baylor women’s basketball junior Darianna Littlepage-Buggs was named Big 12 Player of the Week for her efforts against Houston and BYU in Week 14, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

Ranking second in the Big 12 in double-doubles this season, Littlepage-Buggs is on a tear with 14.4 points and 10.3 rebounds per game in 24 appearances. The junior has ended in double figures 17 times in points and 15 times in rebounds, while leading the Bears 17 times at the boards.

In Week 14 specifically, Littlepage-Buggs averaged 22.5 points and 11.0 rebounds while leading the team shooting 78.3% from the field. She also committed just one turnover in each contest and outpaced both opposing teams in offensive rebounds.

In a big bounce-back performance at Houston, Littlepage-Buggs scored her 1,000th career point in 17 seconds and had a career-high six assists in her third-straight game connecting from behind the arc. Days later against BYU, the Oklahoma native had the seventh 20-point game of her career and the 10th double-double of the slate with a season-high 26 points and 15 rebounds.

So far this season, Littlepage-Buggs became the eighth Bear to record a 20-point, 20-rebound game against UNLV and has career-high marks in rebounds, assists, steals, 3-pointers and free throws, while also having high marks in all three shot attempt categories.

On Thursday, Littlepage-Buggs was announced as a Midseason Top 10 candidate for the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year Award by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Fan voting for the Starting Five Awards began on Friday at hoophallawards.com, and the winner of the fan vote will receive one automatic committee vote during the finalist selection process.

Monday's honor marks Littlepage-Buggs' first Player of the Week recognition, following eight Freshman of the Week nods during the 2022-23 season. It also represents the Bears' league-leading 95th Player of the Week award.

Baylor women's basketball is presented by Central National Bank, a family-owned, independent bank headquartered in Waco, Texas, that provides uniquely personal service while simultaneously embracing the latest developments in banking technology.
