WACO, Texas – The No. 1-ranked Baylor acrobatics & tumbling team is ready to start the 2025 season, beginning with a meet against No. 5 Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton on Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Mayborn Campus Center.

The Bears, who earned the top spot in the NCATA preseason poll for the 10th-straight season, head to UMHB to get the 2025 campaign going.

Coming into the season opener, the Bears are 5-0 against UMHB and are 104-23 all-time as a program.

The Crusaders are led by two former Bears in Raffaela Scotto (’22) and Riley Chimwala (’24). BU’s assistant coach, Courtney Oates, was the inaugural head coach of UMHB in 2019, metaphorically passing the baton to Scotto after the 2022 season. It is Chimwala’s first season on staff with Scotto, who competed together at BU for two seasons.

Baylor, the nine-time defending NCATA national champion, returns 28 letterwinners from the previous squad and has 15 newcomers on the 2025 roster.
