TYLER, Texas – Baylor football’s standout offensive trio of quarterback Sawyer Robertson, running back Bryson Washington and wide receiver Josh Cameron have all been named to the 2025 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watch list, as announced Wednesday.

The award recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity to persist as well as determination to overcome adversity and injury in pursuit of reaching goals.

Additionally, nominees must either have played football at and graduated from a Texas High School and/or be currently playing at a Texas-based Division I four-year university.

A total of 102 players from nine different conferences and one independent were included on the 13th annual award watch list.

On the heels of leading the Bears to six-straight wins to finish the 2024 regular season, Robertson put together a breakout 2024 campaign by throwing for 3,071 yards with 28 TDs and just eight interceptions. He also rushed 63 times for 230 yards with four scores. Robertson ranked among the tops in single-season program history in passing efficiency, passing yards, completions, completion percentage, touchdowns and TD:INT ratio. He had four 300+-yard passing games and threw for a career-high 445 yards with two touchdowns vs. LSU in the Texas Bowl.

Washington rolled to Freshman All-America status a year ago after shattering BU’s freshman rushing record. Though he played in just 11 games, the rookie ran for 1,028 yards with 12 TDs and logged six 100+-yard performances, the most by any freshman in program history. Washington also caught 22 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown in 2024.

A native of Cedar Park, Texas, Cameron garnered All-Big 12 praise as a wideout in 2024 and has already been named to the Biletnikoff Award’s preseason watch list. After starting all 13 games in 2024, Cameron led the Bears with 52 receptions, 754 yards and 10 touchdowns, while totaling four 100+-yard receiving performances. His 10 scores ranked inside the top 10 in Baylor single-season history. Cameron also earned a pair of All-America honors as a punt returner in 2024.

The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watch list will be narrowed down to no more than 16 semifinalists in November, and then up to five finalists in December, as selected by broadcasters, commentators, journalists, fans and previous winners. The finalists will be brought to Tyler, Texas, for The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Banquet, scheduled for January 21, 2026, where the winner will be announced.

Historically, former Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty won the inaugural Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award in 2013, and most recently former running back Abram Smith was named a finalist for the honor in 2021.
