Baylor A&T Earns End-of-Year Awards from NCATA
Bears sweep major awards, earn four All-America

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Baylor acrobatics & tumbling team earned postseason awards on Sunday from the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association, including academic and athletic based honors.



Sophomore Payton Washington was named the NCATA DI Athlete of the Year. The NCATA DI Specialist of the Year is Jordan Gruendler, a senior. The NCATA DI Freshman of the Year award went to Leavy McDonald.



Felecia Mulkey earned NCATA Coach of the Year after leading her Bears to their 10th-straight NCATA title. It is Mulkey’s second accolade while at Baylor.



Earning NCATA All-America  were freshman McDonald, sophomores Emily Bott and Washington, and senior Gruendler. It was the second All-America honor for both Gruendler and Washington and first for Bott and McDonald.



Gruendler was named to the NCATA All-Academic Team, her second time.
