LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Baylor women’s basketball put Sarah Andrews and Darianna Littlepage-Buggs on the 2024 John R. Wooden Award Women’s Preseason Top 50 Watch List, the Los Angeles Athletic Club announced Thursday.

A three-time All-Big 12 selection and 2023 WBCA Honorable Mention All-American, Andrews returns to Waco for her fifth season in the green and gold after a senior-year campaign where she averaged 11.4 points per game with starts in all 34 of the Bears’ contests. She paced the team in threes (75) and assists (132) en route to 22 double-digit scoring efforts.

Andrews has her fourth preseason mention, taking a spot on the Preseason All-Big 12 team, the Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year Watch List and the Ann Meyers-Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Watch List.

Earning All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2024, Littlepage-Buggs’ 149 field goals made were second among the team with a percentage of .525. She ended 18 games with double-digit points and had five double-doubles, including a 12-point, 11-rebound effort to close the season against No. 3 USC in the Sweet 16.

Littlepage-Buggs’ Wooden Watch List is the junior’s second of the preseason, also earning a spot on the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year Watch List.

Of the 30 schools with a student-athlete listed, Baylor is one of 14 schools with multiple mentions. Notre Dame leads the way nationally with four honorees.

Audi Crooks (Iowa State), Frida Formann (Colorado), Gianna Kneepkens (Utah), Ayoka Lee (K-State), JJ Quinerly (WVU), Emily Ryan (Iowa State) and Hailey Van Lith (TCU) each join the Bears on the watch list from the Big 12 Conference.

BU opens the season against Incarnate Word on Thursday from Foster Pavilion. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed on ESPN+ with commentary from John Morris and Jim Haller. Derek Smith and Lori Fogleman will have the call on radio, available locally on FOX Sports Central Texas 93.9 and nationally at centexsportsfan.com.
