LUBBOCK, Texas – No. 17 Baylor volleyball is set to face Texas Tech at 7 p.m. Wednesday at United Supermarkets Arena.

The Bears (15-6, 7-3) and Red Raiders (12-11, 4-7) will be meeting for the 92nd time, TTU leading the overall series at 49-42 overall and 25-20 in its home gym. Last time out, in November 2023, BU came away with a 3-0 sweep in Lubbock to increase the win streak to four against TTU.

BU is 109-47 in Big 12 matches under head coach Ryan McGuyre and has raked in 235 Big 12 wins overall since 1996.

Leading the way for the Bears through 21 matches are senior outside hitter Elise McGhee (272 kills, 33 aces), senior libero Lauren Briseño (306 digs), graduate transfer setter Jackie Barrett Frazier (592 assists) and senior middle blocker Alicia Andrew (60 blocks).

Last week, McGhee finished the week with 37 kills overall, including a 24-kill performance on Friday against Colorado. Her 24 kills are the fourth-most by a Baylor player in a three-set match. Her stellar performances on the week led her to her first Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week nod of the season.

Barrett Frazier recorded a triple-double against Iowa State with 10 kills, 23 assists and 16 digs. The last player to do so was now-Baylor Hall of Famer Taylor Barnes in 2009.

Briseño served her 80th career ace against Colorado to tie the fifth-most career aces in the rally-scoring era at Baylor. She continues to move up in the record book for career digs, coming into the match with Texas Tech in eighth all-time with 1,243.

TTU hosts Baylor after sweeping UCF but falling to No. 8 Kansas in four sets, both at home in Lubbock on Nov. 2 and Oct. 30, respectively.

Wednesday’s match will be streamed on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. CT, with Geoff Haxton and Victoria Dennis on the call. Live stats will be available at BaylorStats.com, with a full recap and final box score uploaded to BaylorBears.com after the conclusion of the match.
