WACO, Texas – The Baylor acrobatics & tumbling program has announced the addition of Amya Powell to the 2025 roster, released Wednesday.



“Amya comes in as a talented base,” said head coach Felecia Mulkey. “I am excited to get her in the weight room with Coach Thompkins and watch her continue to develop in this area! Her work ethic is a perfect fit here.  I know she will play a big role in Acro, Toss and Pyramids over the next few years.”



Powell, a Fort Worth native, comes to the Bears as a rising junior, having completed two years at Tyler Junior College where she cheered for the Apaches. She and her squad won at NCA College Nationals twice, in 2023 and 2024.



A graduate of Haltom High School in Haltom City, Texas, Powell also cheered for the Buffaloes.



She will be working toward her degree in Communications from Baylor.
