WACO, Texas -- Baylor women’s tennis star Miska Kadleckova was named All-Big 12 Conference Second Team in a voting of the league’s coaches, it was announced by the conference office on Thursday.



Kadleckova, a 5-foot-6 senior out of Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, has had a decorated season as the top of the Baylor lineup. A transfer from Iowa State – where she was named the Big 12 Women’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2022-23, Kadleckova is ranked No. 102 in the nation in singles and leads the Bears with a 16-4 record, including a 15-4 mark in line one.



She is the 27th Baylor player to earn All-Big 12 honors in singles and the sixth player in the last four seasons to earn the honor.



Kadleckova had a record-setting career in Ames, Iowa, breaking the school marks for single-season singles wins (29) and doubles wins (30) as a junior in 2022-23. She owns 115 career singles wins over the two schools.



She is a decorated academic performer, earning six Big 12 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll honors, is a two-time ITA Scholar Athlete and was named College Sports Information Directors Association Academic All-District in 2023. Kadleckova has a 3.73 cumulative GPA as a health, kinesiology and leisure studies major.



The No. 35 Bears will open their 25th all-time NCAA Tournament vs. No. 31 LSU on Friday at 12 p.m. CT in the NCAA Stanford Regional.
