WACO, Texas – Baylor Equestrian Jumping Seat fifth year Madison Mitchell has earned her second accolade for November, named Arion Sellier Flat Rider of the Month by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA), announced Wednesday.
Mitchell picked up her second honor in Flat after a 2-1 month, collecting MOPs for both her wins. The Clarkston, Mich., native averaged a high score of 83.3 with a win margin of 13 points.

She beat two top-six opponents, having spreads over her opponents of 10 and 16 points, respectively, in her victories. Mitchell’s 16-point win over No. 6 Fresno State helped the Bears win the event, 4-1, and eventually the meet, 12-8. She took the win on the road at No. 5 SMU by 10 points to earn her second MOP. Mitchell had the second-highest score in the event against SMU and the highest score in the event against Fresno State.

This is Mitchell's fourth-career monthly honor in Flat, her second from the NCEA.
Baylor returns to action in the spring on February 1 at the Willis Family Equestrian Center in Waco, facing South Dakota State.
