BRYAN, Texas – Baylor men's golf finished a dominating weekend at the Aggie Invitational on Sunday with a 14-over 878 at Traditions Golf Club.

A trio of Bears finished in the top 10, led by Zach Heffernan's tie for fourth on the strength of a 3-over 219. Davis Ovard and Tyler Isenhart finished tied for ninth with a pair of 5-over 221s.

BU beat Texas A&M by six shots, as the host Aggies shot a 20-over 844, 12 shots better than third-place Sam Houston.

Competing as individuals, Jonas Appel tied for 17th to capture his best finish of the season, while Luke Morgan carded a 12-over to finish tied for 29th.

THE RUNDOWN
Heffernan finished his weekend with a 4-over 76. Entering with the overnight lead, the junior got off to a steady start with five-straight pars before dropping two shots with bogeys at Nos. 6 and 7 to make the turn with a 2-over 38. After a birdie to start the back nine, Heffernan came home with bogeys at Nos. 11, 12 and 14 to card his career-best finish as a member of the lineup.

Following a couple of early bogeys at Nos. 3 and 5, Ovard recorded his first birdie of the day at No. 6 but chased it with a double bogey at No. 7 and a birdie at No. 8. The freshman settled in on the second nine with seven pars, a birdie at No. 14 and a bogey at No. 16 to finish off his third-career top-10 finish.

Tyler Isenhart notched his best finish of the season as a member of the lineup, tying for ninth after a 5-over 77 on Sunday in a round featuring five total pars. His front-nine 41 included three bogeys, two double bogeys and two birdies. Bogeys at Nos. 10, 13 and 17 were offset by birdies at Nos. 12, 14 and 18 for an even-par 36 on his inward half.

Luke Dossey tied for 12th in his best finish in the lineup this spring. On the heels of a bogey at No. 4, he made back-to-back birdies at Nos. 5 and 6 but closed the front side with a double bogey at No. 8. Making the turn at 1-over, Dossey fought back to even par with a birdie at No. 15 but suffered a double-bogey six at No. 18 to close out the weekend.

Johnny Keefer finished the weekend with his best round of the tournament, an even-par 72. The senior started with a pair of birdies at Nos. 1 and 3 around a bogey at No. 2. A double bogey at No. 5 dropped him back over par, only to battle back to even with a birdie at No. 6. A bogey at No. 9 would prove to be his last of the day and saw him make the turn with a 1-over 37. The senior responded with his second bogey-free back nine in as many days, closing the weekend with eight pars and a birdie at No. 15.
