Baylor MBB Adds Contest with John Brown

WACO, Texas – Baylor men's basketball completed its schedule Friday with the addition of a Nov. 9 contest against John Brown University at the Ferrell Center.
The game will tip off at 11 a.m. and serve as BU's annual "Future Bears Day", as Baylor will welcome several local elementary schools to attend the game.
Located in Siloam Springs, Ark., John Brown has made two previous trips to Waco, most recently on Dec. 18, 2016. In the last meeting, BU took care of an over-matched Golden Eagles squad 107-53, behind 20 points and nine rebounds from Jonathan Motley. The win in 2016 was part of a 15-0 start that saw the Bears ascend to No. 1 for the first time in program history a few weeks later.
John Brown and Baylor had one prior meeting in 1984 when the Bears took care of business with a 112-67 victory in Waco.
With the completion of the schedule, BU's game against Kansas City on Nov. 14 is set for a 9 p.m. tip, while its season opener with Auburn will tip at 8 p.m. on ESPN. Additionally, Baylor's Dec. 16 game with Michigan state will tip at 8 p.m., and it's Dec. 20 contest with Duke at Madison Square Garden has been set as a 6 p.m. tip on ESPN.
