• No. 20 Baylor hosts it's home opener against John Brown University on its annual "Future Bears Day"

• The Bears have won four-straight home openers, and 18 of 20 under Scott Drew

• Baylor is 54-6 in home games over the last four seasons.

• Thursday marks the first of eight remaining home games scheduled for the Ferrell Center

• BU welcomes in several local elementary schools as a way for the Bears to engage local classrooms with a fun and educational experience.

• Thursday marks the third all-time meeting with the Golden Eagles, the last coming in 2016 when No. 4 BU beat JBU 107-53.

• JBU head coach Jason Beschta is a 2004 Baylor Graduate.

• Current Baylor Director of Video Operations, Ty Beard, served as an assistant for Beschta from 2014-17.

• BU is coming off a season-opening win against Auburn, 88-82, at the Sanford Pentagon on Tuesday night.

• Trailing by 9 at the half and 6 with 6-minutes to play, BU used a 13-2 run over the next five minutes to take control of the game and open the season with a win against a power conference opponent for the first time since Colorado in 2013.

• BU improved to 19-2 in season openers under Scott Drew (five-straight wins).

• Five-star freshman Ja'Kobe Walter burst out of the gates with 28-points, the most by a freshman in a debut in program history.

• Walter is one of four freshman in Big 12 history to score at least 28 points in his debut, and the only one to do it against a power conference opponent.

• Walter went a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line making him the ninth different player in program history to shoot 1.000 percent from the line [min. 10 attempts]

• Baylor is 78-13 vs. unranked teams over the last four seasons (.855%).

• BU is 79-20 over the last three-plus seasons, tied for the nation's best record by a Power-6 team in that span.

• The Bears opened the season as a ranked team for the fifth-straight season, and 11 of the last 14 seasons since its first preseason ranking in 2010-11.

• Baylor is 105-24 over the last four-plus seasons, the nation's best winning percentage among Power-6 teams in that span.

• The Bears are a nations-best 27-11 vs. AP top-25 teams over the last four years, with 16 of those wins coming away from home.
