ATLANTA – Baylor women’s basketball senior guard Sarah Andrews has been selected to the 2024 Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Women’s Watch List, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced Friday.



Andrews is one of 50 student-athletes on the list and just one of six from the Big 12.



The two-time All-Big 12 selection earned a WBCA All-America Honorable Mention after a successful junior season in 2022-23. In games against AP Top 25 teams last year, Andrews averaged 16.9 points per game in nearly 39 minutes of action. She reached double-figure scoring in 15 of 18 Big 12 games with 20-plus point performances in six of those contests and a career-best 30-point outpouring in a top-25 win on the road at Oklahoma.



Additional preseason honors for Andrews include a unanimous all-conference selection and a spot on the Nancy Lieberman Award Watch List, which recognizes the top point guards in NCAA Division I women’s basketball.



The midseason 30 team for the Naismith Trophy will be announced in early January, and then the competition will be narrowed down to 10 national semifinalists in early March.



Baylor opens the 2023-24 regular season on Monday when it hosts Southern at 7 p.m. at the Ferrell Center.
