WACO, Texas – Baylor women’s golf announced its 10-event regular-season schedule<https://baylorbea.rs/3JWQB9r> on Friday, complete with a couple of high-profile events, as they chase a fourth-straight trip to the NCAA Championships.

"We play one of the most competitive schedules in the country to prepare our players for the postseason, and this year is no different,” head coach Jay Goble said. “We are playing a schedule that takes us from coast-to-coast to experience different types of courses and compete against the best teams in the country.”

The Bears were invited to open the season at the Annika Intercollegiate, presented by 3M. Named for World Golf Hall of Famer and 1991 NCAA individual champion Annika Sorenstam, The Annika Intercollegiate boasts 12 of the top teams in the country and will be held Sept. 11-13 at Royal Golf Club in Minneapolis, Minn.

Baylor will continue its schedule with an appearance at the Mason Rudolph Challenge in Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 22-24. This will mark BU's first appearance in the event since 2016, when it carded an eighth-place finish, the best showing in three trips.

The Bears will return to the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invite for the first time since 2015 on Oct. 9-10, before closing the fall semester with a trip to Kapolei, Hawaii, and the Rainbow Wahine Invitational Oct. 23-25. Baylor won its last trip to the Rainbow Wahine by 30 shots in the fall of 2021.

BU will open its spring slate in the Phoenix area for a third-straight season, competing at the Match in the Desert on Jan. 22, 2024. It will then head to Southern California for the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, Feb. 4-6, at Palos Verdes Golf Club. Palos Verdes sits just 90 miles from the site of the 2024 NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, California.

“We’ve played at Palos Verdes for the last couple of years, but the added benefit will be the fact that the National Championship is going to be right down the road in May,” Goble said. "Gil Hanse designed the Champions Course and will be finished right before the Championships. To get a chance to play in those conditions against teams that we could see at the National Championship will be great.”

The Bears will get another look at other championship contenders March 4-6 as they head to Hilton Head, S.C., for the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. Televised on Golf Channel, the Darius Rucker is a flagship event on the spring schedule for women’s college golf. Last year, the event featured nine teams that made the 2023 NCAA Championship.

The schedule continues with the FSU Match Up in Tallahassee, Fla., March 15-17, followed by another trip to the desert and the PING/ASU Invitational March 28-30.

Baylor will return to the Lone Star State for its final two scheduled events beginning at the Texas Showdown, a match play event April 8-9 at Dallas Athletic Club. DAC is in the Big 12 Championship course rotation.

The Big 12 Championship returns to the Houston area and the Club at Carlton Woods April 18-20, with NCAA regionals taking place May 6-8. The six regional sites will be Auburn, Ala.; Cle Elum, Wash.; College Station, Texas; East Lansing, Mich.; Las Vegas, Nev.; Winston-Salem, N.C.

The NCAA Championships will run from May 17-22 at the Omni La Costa resort Champions Course.
