No. 21 Baylor (5-1) will face No. 22 Michigan (6-0) tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. CT/7:30 p.m. ET in the championship game of the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Florida. The contest will be available via streaming on FloHoops.

NOTES

  *   This will be the fourth meeting all-time between the Bears and the Wolverines.
  *   Two of the three meetings have been decided by overtime, including last year’s outing at the Naismith Women’s Challenge in Uncasville, Conn. where the Wolverines topped BU, 74-68.
  *   BU’s meeting with Michigan on Sunday marks the third time in four games that the Bears will face a ranked opponent.
  *   The Bears are going for their second Gulf Coast Showcase tournament title in their second showing at the event, winning the championship in 2016.
  *   Michigan is undefeated on the year and reaches Sunday’s title game after victories over Air Force (68-48) and USF (63-58).
  *   The Wolverines have been led offensively this weekend by Leigha Brown, who is averaging 18.0 points per game in a pair of starts.
  *   The Bears have five players averaging double digits at the tournament, led by junior Sarah Andrews, who is sitting at 14.5 points per contest.

  *   In just the second meeting ever between Baylor and Villanova, the Bears topped the Wildcats, 75-70.
  *   BU improved to 10-3 all-time against the Big East Conference.
  *   The victory marks Baylor’s first top-25 non-conference win since besting then-No. 17/23 Indiana, 77-62, in the U.S. Virgin Islands during the 2019-20 campaign.
  *   The Bears outrebounded the Wildcats, 43-38, marking the fifth time in six games this season that BU has grabbed more boards than its opponent.
  *   For the third time this season, and second-straight game, Baylor saw five Bears reach double-figure scoring.
  *   Fifth-year Caitlin Bickle logged her second-career double-double, finishing with a season-high 18 points and career-high 12 rebounds.
  *   Senior Jaden Owens registered a career-high 17 points and led the Bears in assists (2) for the sixth-straight outing. She also matched a career-best five rebounds.
  *   Junior Sarah Andrews reached double-figure scoring in the sixth-straight game to start the year, finishing with 13.
  *   Baylor held Villanova’s Maddy Siegrist to her second-lowest scoring output (22) as the senior led the Wildcats in the category.
