PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – Baylor women’s golf climbed the leaderboard for a second-straight day, finishing with a 27-over 879 and securing a tie for eighth at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes Golf Club.

The Bears’ 4-over-par 288 was the fourth-best score in the field in Tuesday's final round and saw the Bears move from a tie for 10th to a tie for eighth with the Duke Blue Devils. Baylor’s 575 in the final two rounds trailed only No. 2 Oregon, No. 5 Wake Forest and No. 12 Arizona State.

No. 1 player Britta Snyder carded BU’s best round of the tournament and her first under-par round this spring with a 1-under 70. Teeing off on No. 10 for the third day in a row, the sophomore began her round with 10-straight pars before recording a birdie at the par-3 2nd. Following bogeys at Nos. 3 and 5, Snyder responded with two pars and two birdies in her final four holes to secure Baylor’s first under-par round for the week. Snyder finished in a tie for 18th for a second-straight top-20 finish.

Senior Gurleen Kaur also finished strong, shooting a 1-over 72 to finish in a tie for 26th. Starting on the par-4 11th, Kaur played her first 10 holes at even par thanks to a birdie at the third hole. Bogeys at Nos. 4 and 7 moved Kaur to 2-over for the day, but three-straight pars and a birdie on her last hole of the day got her back to 72 for the day and 220 for the tournament.

Addie Baggarly recorded her first counting score as a Bear with a steady round of 72. Starting on No. 13, the graduate transfer played her first eight holes at even par. Following her first bogey of the day, Baggarly played her next eight holes at 1-under par to get back to even, on the strength of birdies at Nos. 7 and 10. A bogey on her final hole of the day saw her finish at 1-over, jumping nine spots into a tie for 67th for the week.

On the heels of an even-par round on Monday, sophomore Rosie Belsham shot a 3-over 74. After a pair of bogeys on her opening nine, Belsham carded her first birdie of the day at No. 1. A double bogey at No. 2 and bogey at No. 5 dropped Belsham to 4-over, but she finished strong with a birdie on her final hole of the day and finished in a tie for 30th.

Antonia Matte also shot a 3-over 74 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 38th. The freshman teed off on No. 11 and played her first eight holes at even par before a run of three-straight bogeys dropped her to 3-over par before playing her final eight holes at even-par.

Oregon won by seven shots over second-place Wake Forest. Wake's Rachel Kuehn took individual medalist honors by five shots over Virginia's Beth Lillie.
