THE RUNDOWN
ROLAND, Arkansas – Baylor women’s golf finished sixth in the stroke-play portion of the Jackson T. Stephens Cup on Tuesday at Alotian Golf Club.
As a team, the Bears shot an 11-over 299 in the final round, which was the fifth-best team score of the day.
Baylor’s Gurleen Kaur notched a second-straight top-five finish thanks to a one-under 71, the third-lowest round of the day, and one of just seven scores in red figures in the final round. Kaur was two-over through five holes but played her next nine holes at four-under-par. She dominated the par-5’s playing them in eight-under for the week, featuring an eagle at the 14th hole on Tuesday. The eagle was part of a birdie-birdie-eagle stretch for the team at No. 14.
The author of one of those birdies, Britta Snyder, also birdied the last hole of the day to get to one-over for the round and 11-over for the tournament, finishing in a tie for 18th.
Sophomore Rosie Belsham finished two shots behind Snyder in a tie for 23rd. Belsham finished the third round with a birdie and eight pars in her final nine holes including the difficult par-4 5th which played as the hardest hole on the course.
BaiMai Seema finished in a tie for 28th in her collegiate debut after a final-round 77 on Tuesday. Seema shot a 17-over 233 for the week with two of her three rounds counting towards the team score.
Antonia Matte finished 32nd after a 27-over 233. Matte had a solid start to the tournament shooting a four-over 76 in the first round, her best score of the week.

• Gurleen Kaur led the field in par-5 scoring, playing them over a half-a-shot under par for the week (4.33).

Quote of the Day:
Head Coach Jay Goble – “It hurts a little bit right now that we didn't have our best game this week,” Goble said. “But in preparation for what we have coming for the rest of the year, this is really great. The Northrop Grumman Challenge, Long Cove Club and, Grayhawk Golf Club next May; those are on hard golf courses, and to be able to come out here and get some experience on a course that’s really tough, I think it's great.”
WHAT'S NEXT:
