ROLAND, Arkansas – Baylor women’s golf will return to action Monday at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup at beautiful Alotian Golf Club in Roland, Ark.

The event is named for former Augusta National Golf Club Chairman Jackson T. Stephens and features six of the best women’s golf programs in the country. With the Stephens family and the American Junior Golf Association teaming up to put on this tournament, Baylor head coach Jay Goble jumped at the opportunity to join the field.
“Alotion Club has an amazing reputation,” Goble said. “The Stephens family has a long tradition with Augusta National and in the game of golf, so you know that they're going to put on a great event. With the AJGA also being involved as one of the most respected businesses in our game, it was a no-brainer to accept the invitation.”

The Bears are one of six teams in the field that were ranked in the top-20 to start the season and one of four teams currently ranked inside the top-10.
“It's six fantastic teams that we're going to have to play well to beat,” Goble said. “It's an awesome golf course played in great weather and an awesome field. You can't ask for anything else, to be honest with you.”

Goble’s lineup will be led by senior Gurleen Kaur, who is coming in with four-straight rounds under par. Kaur will be first off the tee at 8:40 a.m.

Antonia Matte looks to continue her stellar freshman season out of the No. 2 spot in the lineup. Matte who has shot in red figures in five of her first six collegiate rounds to lead the team, will tee off at 8:50 a.m.

Sophomore Britta Snyder will play out of the No. 3 spot, aiming for a second top-10 finish in her third start of the season. Snyder will tee off at 9:00 a.m.

Fellow sophomore Rosie Belsham will tee off at 9:10 a.m. She is coming in on the heels of a three-under 67 in her last round at the Schooner Fall Classic, on the way to a top-25 finish.

Freshman BaiMai Seema will tee off out of the No. 5 spot at 9:20 a.m. She will be making her first-career start after a strong effort in qualifying.
“She earned her way into the lineup, which is cool,” Goble said. “She's definitely going to get her experience on a very big stage, probably one of the bigger stages we're going to play on this year, which is exciting.
The tournament will begin with 36-holes of stroke play on Monday followed by 18 holes of stroke play on Tuesday. The teams will then be ranked 1-6 and paired 1 vs. 2, 3 vs. 4, and 5 vs. 6 for 18-holes of match play on the final day.

Live stats will be available at golfstat.com<http://results.golfstat.com/public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=participants&tid=24641>. The tournament will be featured on Golf Channel, with coverage beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
